Paul Cringle

Paul was born in Manchester in 1953 and started playing the guitar when he was fifteen years old. He was always interested in traditional folk music and soon became a regular around the North Manchester folk scene. In 1979 he moved to the Isle of Man where he has continually performed and supported the Islands folk scene. In 2013 Paul composed a tune called “Auldyn River” which has now become known world wide. Paul’s fingerstyle guitar playing is a melodic technique that compliments his strong vocals. Recently retired Paul is now enjoying the freedom to concentrate more on his music...
